Added style and value for Swift and SX4
Suzuki Swift RE3

Suzuki has added even more style and value to the award-winning Swift light car and SX4 AWD with the release of limited edition versions at the 2008 Australian International Motor Show.

Inspired by Suzuki’s domination of the Junior World Rally Championship, the Swift RE3 comes complete with more than $3,000 of extra features. Included in the Swift RE3 pack are an integrated sports bodykit including front, side and rear spoilers, a rear upper spoiler, unique seven spoke alloy wheels, and unique RE3 floor mats and badges.

“The Swift has truly been one of the great automotive success stories in recent years, with its mix of European styling, outstanding driving dynamics and fantastic value for money,” said Suzuki Australia General Manager Tony Devers.

"In spite of a host of new competitors from around the globe, the Swift has cemented itself as one of the benchmark small cars in Australia. The release of the limited edition RE3 adds even more to Australia’s best value small car with a rally inspired recommended retail price of just $16,990. Just 800 Swift RE3 cars will go on sale. With $3000 of extras, it represents an outstanding opportunity to get behind the wheel and discover why the Swift is one of the world’s most awarded small cars,” said Devers.

The SX4 AWD Adventure adds new levels of value to Suzuki’s fast selling small car. Based on Suzuki’s revolutionary AWD hatch, the Adventure pack comes complete with roof racks, cargo tray, rear bumper protector, bonnet and headlamp protectors, Adventure decals and floor mats, but with no price increase for customers.

Star of the show - Suzuki Kizashi
Suzuki Kizashi

Suzuki was the undoubted star of the New York International Auto Show with the unveiling of the latest incarnation of its exciting Kizashi 3 midsize car.

Due to arrive on Australian shores late next year, the Kizashi 3 concept car revealed the sports sedan version of a vehicle line-up that will also include a crossover.

“The unveiling of sports wagon.Kizashi 3 is an important day in the continuing rise of Suzuki in this country,” said Suzuki Australia General Manager Tony Devers. “We are one of the fastest growing brands in Australia despite competing in less than 50 per cent of the market, and the addition of a superb vehicle like Kizashi will help confirm Suzuki’s status as a significant force in the country.

“With more than 2.3 million sales last year, Suzuki is truly a global brand and the imminent arrival of Kizashi represents a landmark in our mission to consolidate Suzuki as a major player in Australia.”

The closest to production variation of the Concept Kizashi series, Kizashi 3 embodies Suzuki’s interpretation of the sport sedan segment. The ‘super sport’ identity – a core component of the Suzuki brand DNA – is complemented by the vehicle’s overall mission to provide powerful, refined urban performance.

Kizashi 3 is powered by an advanced 3.6-litre V6 with plated cylinders – a weight and friction saving technology evolved from Suzuki’s WRC and MotoGP development teams. Producing 221 kW of power, Kizashi 3 drives all four wheels via a silky smooth six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

“Suzuki prepares to celebrate 100 years in 2009, Kizashi 3 has shown there’s never been a more exciting moment in our history,” said Devers.
